.Richard L. 'Buck' Neville, 82, of Tremont, passed away peacefully in his sleep at 7:45 a.m. Sunday, January 24, 2016, at his home. Buck was born December 4, 1933, in Tremont, the son of Harold and Mary (DeWeese) Neville.He married Wilma Harvey Stanton October 12, 1983, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Surviving are his wife, Wilma of Tremont; one son, Denny (Connie) Neville of Tremont; one stepson Robert Stanton of Pekin;four daughters, Mollie (Aaron) Sellers of Tremont, Julie (Joe) Weishaupt of Mackinaw, IL, Penny Littlefield of Canton, IL and Peggy Denbo of Lacon; 21 grandchildren; and one sister, Frances Lang, of Pekin. Buck was preceded by his parents; three brothers, Ben, Charles and Donald Neville; one sister, Mary Morrison and two stepsons, David and Denny Stanton. Buck was an Army Veteran of the Korean War attaining the rank of Private First Class being discharged on February 16th 1953.He retired from Caterpillar Inc. in 1983 after 34 years where he worked as a maintence painter. His pastime activities included pitching horse shoes, bowling, NASCAR Racing and being a die-hard Cub Fan. He was of the Methodist faith Cremation rites have been accorded.A Celebration of Life Service and inurnment of ashes in Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont will be held at a later date.Henderson Funeral Home and Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin, IL 61554 is in charge of the arrangements.
