Richard E. Jarvis

Richard E. "Rick" Jarvis, 91 of Pekin passed away at 9:32 pm, Sunday, May 8, 2022 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Rick was born to Leroy Oscar & Pearl Marie (Deyo) Jarvis on February 6, 1931 in Detroit, MI. He married Lois Jean Tolotti, the love of his life. She survives. He was preceded in death by his parents. Rick is also survived by; one son, Richard Eugene (Mike) Sigler-Jarvis of Palm Harbor, FL; one daughter, Pamela Jean (Curt) Woolsey of Pekin; two grandchildren, Eugene "Geno"(Laurie) Woolsey and Tisha (Jeremy Harms) Daniels; six great-grandchildren, Addisen, Alexis, Miles, Lillian, Erin, and Aiden; and one sister, Delores Schinlieber. He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Pekin. He served as a Paratrooper in the United States Army during the Korean War. Rick was the owner of Kingsman Automotive in Florida and worked as manager at Riverview Hatchery for 30 years in Pekin. He was in the Auxiliary for the Sheriffs department for 10 years. Rick was a member of the American Legion. He loved gardening, and played minor league baseball in his younger years. Rick enjoyed the outdoors and loved to tinker with most everything. He was an avid collector of anything with Eagles on it. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 711 Court St, Pekin, IL at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 14, 2022 with Pastor Daniel Bishop officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the service at the church. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army. Cremation has been accorded. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran School, 3201 Court St, Pekin, IL.
