Reginald 'Reggie' Gaskill, 61 of Manito passed away at 6:35 am, Sunday, June 15, 2014 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Reggie was born May 12, 1953 in Pekin to Paul E. and JoAnn (Melvin) Gaskill.He married Gwen Caulkins on May 24, 1975 in Manito. She survives. Also surviving are his mother, JoAnn Gaskill of Manito; two daughters, Amber (Earl Jr.) Mayhew of Flint, Michigan, Rhandi (Adam) Weinstock of Chicago; one son, Ian Gaskill of Manito; five grandchildren, Taylor, Darren and Savannah Mayhew and Anna and Elise Weinstock; one sister Karen (Darrel) Rankin of Thief River Falls, MN. Reggie was preceded in death by his father and infant son, Aaron Gaskill. He was a conductor for Union Pacific Railroad retiring in 2013 after 41 years of service. He was a member of Community United Methodist Church in Manito. Reggie was a member of National Wild Turkey Federation and enjoyed turkey hunting and fishing.He was an avid cardinal fan. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Thursday,June 19, 2014 at Community United Methodist Church in Manito with Pastor Cathy Clark officiating.Visitation will be Wednesday June 18 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at his church and from 9:30 am- 10:15 am prior to service.Burial will be in Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito. Memorial contributions may be directed to Community United Methodist Church or Hopedale Medical Foundation.
