Regina I. Spencer

Regina I. Spencer, 91 of Pekin passed away at 7:15 am Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at her home. Regina was born March 7, 1924 in Mississippi to James and Rosa (Wooldridge) Clark.She married Thomas Spencer December 19, 1942.He passed away May 25, 1963. She was also preceded by her parents and two brothers. Regina is survived by two daughters, Mary Wright and Brenda (Ernest) Wieburg both of Pekin; five grandchildren, Julie Young, Jill Humes, Jodi Behymer, Christopher Wieburg, and Jeremy Wieburg; four great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother James (Shirlee) Clark of Princeville; three sisters, Elizabeth (John) White of Dyersburg, TN, Faye Sammett of Louisville, TX, Maxine Long of Houston, MS; sister-in-law, Loyce Clark of McKenzie, TN; her caregiver, Joyce Howarter of Green Valley, IL. Regina worked at Sherex for 18 years retiring in 1985 as head lab technician. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, sewing, and her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, especially watching her grandchildren's sports activities. She was a member of Pekin Church of Christ where she taught women's classes and Sunday school. A service celebrating Regina's life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 28, 2015 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr.Visitation will be from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM Monday at the funeral home.Graveside services will at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 29 in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Memorials may be directed to a charity of the Donor's choice.
