Rebecca A. Mcallister

Rebecca A. McAllister, 72, of Pekin, IL passed away at 5:35 PM Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria. Becky was born on December 30, 1951 in Peoria, IL to George and Jacqueline (Stapleton) Jones Sr. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, George Jones Jr. Surviving are: her mother, Jacqueline Jones of Pekin; three daughters, Vicki (Dan) Dooley of Pekin, Christy (Scott) Lungwitz of Pekin, and Angela (Noor Al-Baik) McAllister, currently overseas; five grandchildren;one sister, Jeannine Stockert of Pekin and sister-in-law, Donna Lorfing Jones of Texas. Becky was a member of Pekin First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Lydia Circle. She enjoyed photography, gardening and bird watching, she especially liked flamingos. She adored her cat, Lizzie. She loved vacationing with her family in Michigan and taking them to see all of the lighthouses. Becky had a great sense of humor, loved a good joke and liked to make people smile. She was passionate about the Salvation Army. Above all she loved her family and friends Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Dr, Pekin with Rev. Judy Doyle officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior from 10:00-11:00 AM also at the funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or TAPS Animal Shelter.
