Raylene S. Pitts

Raylene S. Pitts, 63, of Pekin, IL passed away at 11:27 PM Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Carle Health Methodist in Peoria. Raylene was born on October 4, 1960 in Pekin to Richard and Gloria (Oats) Pitts. She was preceded in death by her father and two sisters, Pam Lohnes and Paula Farrar. Surviving are: her mother, Gloria Pitts of Pekin; one daughter, Nicole (Jeremy) Jones of Pekin; two grandchildren, Nykee and Jesse Jones; one brother, Roy (Cathy) Pitts of Creve Coeur, IL; one sister, Bonnie Pollock of Pekin; one niece Charity (Scott) Church; one nephew, Zackary (Natilee) Pitts and many more nieces and nephews. Raylene had worked as a daycare teacher for Childrens Center and YWCA of Peoria. She had attended Second Reformed Church and was a member of the Pekin Jaycees. She was an avid softball player and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory with Chuck Grogan officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM 10:30 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
