Ramon "Ray" W. Warner

Ramon "Ray" W. Warner, 91, of Pekin, IL passed away at 7:17 AM Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Grand View Alzheimers Special Care Center in Peoria. Ray was born on January 18, 1930 in Pekin to Clinton and Marian (Frohling) Warner. He married Joyce Winkel on July 10, 1950 in Pekin. She passed away on May 3, 2009. Also preceding in death are his parents, an infant son and three brothers, Robert, Ralph and James Warner. Surviving are: two daughters, Jody (Randy) Drury of Pekin and Patty (Les Hensley) Friedrich of East Peoria, IL; three grandsons, Clinton (Sarah) Drury, Seth (Melanie Ernst) Friedrich and AJ (Dree) Friedrich; six great grandchildren, Sawyer, Teagan and Lennox Drury, Elliette, Oaklee and Poet Friedrich; two sister-n-laws, Harriet Harris and Judith Warner. Ray was an agent for State Farm for 36 years retiring on March 1, 1993. He served in the Navy Reserves. Ray is a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church in Pekin and Shepherd of the Hills Church in Lecanto, FL. He was a former member of Pekin Optimist Club, Pekin Jaycees, and South Side Business Association. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and especially volunteering for S.O.S. through his church in Florida. Private memorial services will be held at St. Paul Episcopal Church with Father Richmond officiating. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium.
