Philip Michael Shea

Philip "Mike" Shea, 88, of Pekin, IL passed away at 8:25 PM Thursday, April 24, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

Mike was born on April 8, 1937 in Oconto, NE to John Patrick and Hazel Idella (Stairs) Shea. He married Sharron Mannel on November 18, 1958 in Anselmo, NE.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, James Shea, one grandson, Ricky Morris, one great grandson, Logan Shea-Baker, three brothers, Maynard, Pat and Danny Shea, one sister Cottie Farritor.

Surviving are: his wife, Sharron of Pekin; four sons, John Shea of Pekin, Tony Shea of North Pekin, Todd Shea of Pekin and Terry (Teresa Rose) Shea of Pekin; one daughter, Jane (Jack) Morris of Pekin; one daughter-in-law, Teri Shea of Pekin; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

Mike was a veteran of the United States Marines. He worked at JC Penny for thirty-two years before retiring in 1989. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory with Father Michael Andrejek officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM 10:30 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following the service. Interment will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, May 1, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
