Patricia G. Shults

Patricia G. Shults, 78, of Pekin passed away at 8:19 AM Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Pat was born on July 12, 1936 in Nyssa, OR to Elmer and Thelma (Nelson) Smith. She married John Shults on Nov. 2, 1954 in Auburn, WA. Preceding in death are her parents, one grandson, Jeremy Shults, two sisters and three brothers. Surviving are: her husband, John; three sons, Randy (Stephanie) Shults, Rick (Susan) Shults and John Shults all of Pekin; one daughter Carlene (Dan) Cook of Madison, WI; nineteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; one sister, Carol (John) Farley of Auburn, WA; special niece who was raised by John and Pat, Tammy Edwards of Pekin. In earlier years Pat work at Pekin Hospital and CENTEL. She owned Gayle's Dolls and Antiques in Pekin for several years. She enjoyed collecting dolls and antiques. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin with Pastor Jim Hawkins officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
