Pat R. Stark

Pat R. Stark, 97, of Pekin, IL passed away peacefully at 10:50 AM Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

Pat was born on July 31, 1928 in Toledo, OH to William Roy and Lucy F. (Ward) Jent. She married John J. Stark on June 26, 1948 at Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin. He passed away on June 1, 2001.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, M. Lucile Snedden.

Surviving are: two sons, Kevin J. Stark of Pekin and Scott A. (Connie) Stark of Delavan; one daughter, Nancy L. Hangartner of Austin, TX; two granddaughters, Emmy Lou Hangartner and Annle Bree Stark; one great grandson, Keardan Bolen; also surviving is her dear friend and neighbor, Norma J. Bell.

Pat was a devoted lifelong member of Grace United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Susanna Circle and charter member of Yam – Young Adult Methodist Sunday School Class. She was a 1946 graduate of Pekin High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She was an avid sports fan especially the Chicago Cubs and watching golf.

Private funeral services will be held at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory with David Taylor as celebrant. There will be no visitation. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
