Pamela J. Hackney

Pamela J. Hackney, 81, of Pekin, IL passed away at 1:36 PM Monday, July 20, 2026 at her home.

Pam was born on December 18, 1944 in Kansas City, MO to Joseph and Norma (Ulrich) Burke. She married Fred Hackney on July 27, 1963 in Kansas City, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son-n-law, Randy Brashier and one brother, John F. Burke.

Surviving are: her husband, Fred of Pekin; two sons, Kenneth Hackney of Pekin and Aaron Hackney of San Antonio, TX; two daughters, Terri Garber of Pekin, IL and Holly Brashier of Mason City, IL; five grandchildren, Joshua Garber, Kristen Garber, Jacob Garber, Mitchell Brashier and Brooke Brashier; 3 great grandchildren, Nolan James, R.J. James and Randy Turner; sister, Judy Flynn of Lone Jack, MO and sister-in-law Sue Zimmerman of Shawnee, KS.

Pam was a customer service manager at Walmart in Pekin and Versailles, MO for 18 years retiring in 2003. She enjoyed sewing, boating, thrifting and playing cards. She loved animals and spending time with her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, July 24, 2026 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Kurt Copeland officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be Glendale Memorial Gardens.
