Orval O. Wasion

Orval O. Wasion, 96, of 1600 Bellarie St., Pekin, passed away at 10:45 am, Sunday, March 11, 2007 at his home. Orval was born December 29, 1910 in Rockport, IN to John and Anna Doughty Wasion.He married Clara Evans June 15, 1940 in Palmyra, MO.She survives. Also surviving are: three daughters; Patricia (and Jerry) Gosnell, Joyce (and Howard) Perkins, and Janice (and Mike) Franks, all of Pekin; one son, Jerald (and Christine) Wasion also of Pekin; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Orval was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. Orval worked at Caterpillar as a machinist for over twenty five years, retiring in 1976. He enjoyed woodworking and playing various musical instruments. Orval was an avid Cub fan.His family was the most important thing in his life.
