Opal B. Williams

Opal B. Williams, 91, of Pekin passed away at 1:08 PM Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Timber Creek Rehab and Health Center in Pekin. Opal was born on May 21, 1920 in Manito, IL to Moses and Nellie (Bartels) Zimmerman.She married Glen Williams on February 24, 1940, in Keokuk, IA. He passed away on February 13, 1975. Also preceding in death are her parents, two brothers and four sisters. Surviving is: two daughters, Darlene (Howard Heck) Mitzelfelt and Alice Williams both of Pekin; two grandchildren, Vicki (Bill) Burke and Scott (Patti) Mitzelfelt both of Manito, IL; seven great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren; one brother, Nelson Zimmerman of York, PA. Opal loved spending time with her friends and family. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, March 23, 2012 at Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito. Rev. Ralph Sauder will officiate.
