Nyah Evans

Nyahbinghi “Nyah” Evans, 51, of Pekin, IL passed away at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, September 23, 2026 at his home.

Nyah was born on January 28, 1975 Paris, TN to Edward and Marie Evans. He married Allyson Page on October 1, 2016 in Chillicothe, IL.

He was preceded in death by parents; and one sister, Donna Lewis.

He is survived by; his wife, Allyson of Pekin; one sister, Serena Evans of LA; two brothers, Matthew (Sonja) Evans of Glenmora, LA and Clay Matthews of Glenmora, LA; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Nyah worked at Kroger in Pekin as the Garden Center Manager until his retirement in 2020. He took great pride in his work and had a natural appreciation for the beauty and joy that surrounded him.

In his free time, Nyah enjoyed gardening, creating art, playing the drums, spending time with animals, and cooking. He especially looked forward to the holidays, cherishing the traditions and special moments they brought. Above all, Nyah treasured time spent with his family and the memories they made together.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory. A visitation will be one hour prior starting at 1:00 PM.
