Norman A. "Norm" Ulrich

Norman A. 'Norm' Ulrich Sr., 78, of East Peoria, IL passed away at 7:22 PM Monday, October 23, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Norm was born on July 17, 1939 in Pioneer, OH to Arthur M. and Mildred H. (Payne) Ulrich. He married Pearl Ballard on February 19, 1972 in Belleville, IL. Preceding in death are his parents, one brother, Don Ulrich and one sister, Shirley Chapman. Surviving are: his wife, Pearl of East Peoria; one son, Norman (Chris) Ulrich Jr. of Marquette Heights, IL; three daughters, Shirley (Brian Meeks) Ulrich of East Peoria, Lisa (Jeff Pittenger) Ehret of Morton, IL and Lana Green of Peoria; nine grandchildren, Angel, Destiney, Jesse, Kevin, Zac, Justine, Chase, Sara and Chance; three great grandchildren, Blaze, Phoenix and Ares. Norm was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a sportscaster for WEEK TV for nine years and was the Peoria Riverman play-by-play man for fourteen years working over 1400 games. He enjoyed fishing and watching his grandchildren's sporting activities. A visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin. Cremation will be accorded after the visitation.
