Norman W. Tanner

Norman W. Tanner, 79, of Pekin, IL passed away at 3:30 AM Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Carle Health – Methodist Hospital in Peoria.

Norman was born on February 18, 1947 in Sioux City, IA to William G. and Chloe (Rowland) Tanner.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving is, two children, Steffi (Kory Schmidt) Tanner of Pekin and Brian Tanner of Pekin; one sister, Connie Jo (Scott) Stark of Delavan.

Norman worked as a lineman for Centel/Gallatin River. He enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, and golfing. He was a hardworking man who found joy in the outdoors and in the simple pleasures of life.

Cremation will be accorded, and there will be no services at this time. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory is entrusted with arrangements.
