Nicole L. Ferguson

Nicole L. Ferguson, 48 of Peoria, passed away at 4:02 pm, Friday, February 25, 2022 at OSF St Francis Hospital in Peoria. She was born to Russ and Jill (Stallings) Roepenack in Normal, IL on August 18, 1973. She married Scott Ferguson on May 27, 2006 in Peoria. Nicole was preceded in death by one uncle, Tom Roepenack. She is survived by; her husband Scott, Mother and Father, Russ and Jill, three sons, Nicholaus Johnson, Isaiah Ferguson, and Kaiden Ferguson, all of Peoria; one grandchild, Cyrus Johnson; two brothers, Todd (Nikki) Roepenack and Chad Roepenack, both of Pekin; mother-in-law Margret McGlone of Peoria, four uncles, Brian (Georgette) Stallings of Trivoli, Ladd Stallings of Pekin, Scott Roepenack of New Mexico, and Tim (Kalen) Roepenack of Florida; and one Aunt Jamie Roepenack of AZ. Nicole was a member of St Pauls United Church of Christ in Pekin. She graduated from Pekin Community High School in 1991. Nicole received her B.S. in Business from Bellevue University in Bellevue, NE. She worked for Caterpillar Inc. as an Accounts Payable Supervisor for 22 years, last working on January 28, 2022. She was active with Inheritance of Hope. She enjoyed scrap booking, was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan, but above all her greatest treasure was her sons. She truly loved to watch them in their sporting events. Nicole battled breast cancer for 9 years, she tackled it with bravery, positivity, and determination. She was our princess warrior and wonder woman. She had a huge following of prayer warriors. Her mantra was, "faith over fear". A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home, 2131 Velde Dr., Pekin IL. Nicoles funeral service will be held at 10:00, Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at with Rev. Judy Kennedy officiating also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Peoria.
