Nelson F. Beale

Nelson F. Beale, 90, of Pekin, IL passed away at 4:10 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Timbercreek Rehab and Healthcare Center in Pekin. Nelson was born on January 25, 1922 in Forest City, IL to Floyd Joseph and Ida Pauline (Carpenter) Beale. He married Wilma Mae Drockelman on June 18, 1944 in Pekin. She died on August 16, 1998. Also preceding in death are his parents and three sisters, Lois Monge, Sherry Rockhold and Eileen Sours. Surviving is: one daughter, Cathie (Earl) Harkleroad of Pekin; two brothers, Carl Beale of Mackinaw, IL and Jack (Joanne) Beale of Canton, IL; one sister, Delta Lou Robinson of Manito, IL. Nelson was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Commonwealth Edison Powerton Station as a maintained foreman. Nelson was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Pekin. He also was a member of Pekin Moose Lodge #916, Powerton Playboys and was Past Exalted Ruler of Elks Lodge #1271. He enjoyed reading and playing cards. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, February 13, 2012 at Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin.Officiating will be Rev. Judy Doyle.Visitation will be one hour before services on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
