Nancy Noland Eaton, a lifelong lover of music, who shared that love through teaching music classes and choir directing, died on Monday, March 26, 2018 due to complications of Alzheimer's.She was 84. Nancy was born in Decatur, IL on August 31, 1933to Daniel and Elizabeth (Duderstadt) Noland. She began taking piano lessons at the age of 6 and her love of music was born.Nancy attended Decatur High School and Millikin University, where she was a double major in piano and voice, graduating with honors in 1956. Nancy Noland married Richard Eaton in 1957 and made their lives in Decatur, where Nancy became the choir director of the Central Christian church. They relocated to Pekin, Illinois where Nancy taught grade school music classes.After retiring from teaching, Nancy became the choir director of the First Christian Church, where she worked for over 20 years.She was a member of DELTA, DELTA, DELTA Sorority, as well as the P.E.O. Sisterhood and numerous bridge clubs. She is survived by her 4 children, Diane Eaton (Booth), James, David and Robert Eaton; as well as 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, April 3rd from 5-7pm and a memorial service at First Christian Church Wednesday, April 4th at 1pm with a visitation proceeding at 12pm.
