Molly Brandenburg

Molly A. Brandenburg, 27, of Mapleton, IL passed away at 4:45 AM Sunday, October 8, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born January 13, 1990 to Nicolas Blanchard and Marlene (Millsaps) Thompson. She married Donald R. Brandenburg on April 21, 2012. Molly was preceded in death by her grandparents, mother-in- law, and father-in- law. She is survived by her husband, Don; two sons, Cooper and Tucker at home; her parents Nick (Cyndy) Blanchard of Creve Coeur, IL, and Marlene (Randy) Thompson of Mapleton, IL;two sisters, Sarah (Brandon) Knapp of Peoria, and Melanie (Scott) Holmes of Pekin; one brother, Fred (Jen) Blanchard of Glasford; three step brothers and three step sisters; and 12 nephews and 7 nieces. Molly was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. She worked at PNC bank. She was an avid Cubs fan, enjoyed fishing and turkey hunting, listening to country music, playing Bunco and euchre, binge watching her favorite shows on Netflix, and spending time with her friends and family. Molly was a woman full of joy, love, and sunshine, who touched many hearts in her life. Her greatest treasures were her two sons, Cooper and Tucker. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 13, 2017 at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin with Father David Whiteside as celebrant. A visitation will be held Thursday, October 12 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Drive, Pekin, IL with a Celebration of Molly's life ceremony held at 7:00pm. An additional visitation will be Friday, an hour before the service at the church from 9:30 to 10:30am. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens, Pekin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to help with education costs for Molly's two sons, Cooper, 7 years old and Tucker, 2 years old.
