Mildred E. Smith

Mildred E. Smith, 84, of Pekin passed away at 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Pekin Hospital. Mildred was born on October 19, 1927 in Metamora, IL to Edward and Erma (Baker) Hahn. She married Ollie M. Smith on December 21, 1946 in Metamora. He passed away on July 20, 1998. Surviving are: one son, Rick (Pat) Smith of Pekin; one daughter, Michelle Holmes of Pekin; three grandchildren, Karie (Jimmy) Thums of Medford, WI, Kevin (Valarie) Smith and Megan Holmes both of Pekin; one great grandson, Wyatt Smith of Pekin; one brother, Emerson (Pat) Hahn of Pekin; one sister, Betty Frymire of Pekin. Mildred loved to read books and watch movies. Services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Henderson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Friday, September 14 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
