Mia Catherine Dusek

Mia Catherine Dusek, 15, of Bartonville passed away in a car accident in Rural Peoria County early morning on Sunday, February 27, 2022. She was born on April 3, 2006 in Peoria, IL. Mia is survived by her parents, Deb (Jim Manning) Beaupre and Curt Dusek; her sister Madison Dusek; two brothers, Kole Dusek, Reece Dusek; two sisters, Crista Altergott and Cara (Jason) Rushing; maternal grandfather Joseph Beaupre; one nephew, Ryder Rushing; and two nieces, Kaley Rushing, and Sienna Altergott. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Eileen Beaupre, and paternal grandparents Howard and Catherine Dusek. Mia was a sophomore at Limestone Community High School. She was an incredible athlete, but an even better human being. Always with a smile and warm caring heart, she had a magnetic personality and became instant friends with everyone she met. In her younger years, Mia enjoyed riding horses and competing in barrel racing. She loved sports, playing basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball and running track. She was friends with her teammates and opponents alike, and she will be missed by everyone. Mia treasured her family above all. Everyone who knew her adored her. She was a bright light and will be loved eternally. Private Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 with burial in Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria. A celebration of life will be held for her friends and community to come together and honor her life at 1:00 pm at Limestone Community High School on March 13th.
