Maxine Chapman, 84, of Morton, formerly of Washington and Pekin passed away at 12:48 am Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Morton Terrace in Morton, IL. Maxine was born on September 28, 1927 in Princeville, IL to George and Emma (Wyss) Asal. She married Leonard T. Tebben on January 17, 1953 in Princeville, IL. He died on April 24, 1985. She then married Dale L. Chapman on December 9, 1992 in Sarasota, FL. She was preceded in death by one son, Merle Tebben and brother, Earl Asal. Surviving are: her husband, Dale of Washington, IL; one son, Mark (Alice) Tebben of Columbia, TN; one step daughter, Evelyn (Dennis) Riehl of Washington, IL; two step sons, Charles (Carol) Chapman of Rotunda West, FL and Leonard (Natalie) Chapman of Madisonville, KY; six grandchildren, Marcia and Bradley Tebben, Nathaniel Riehl, Ryan, Eric and William Chapman; two brothers, George (Bonnie) Asal of Gulfport, MS and Jerrold (Joanne) Asal of Peoria, IL; three sisters, Eleanor Asal of Princeville, IL, Carol Fairfield of Monica, IL and Aldine Salter of Pekin, IL. Maxine was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Pekin. She was a dietary aide at Pekin Convalescent Center for fourteen years retiring in 1990. Cremation will be accorded. Burial will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Rev. Dwight Borden will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin.
