Mary E. Vogel

Mary E. Vogel, 93 of Pekin passed away at 10:20 pm Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Pekin Manor. Mary was born March 21, 1921 in Pekin to Roy and Stella (Hinkle) Tomlinson.She married Walter F. Vogel September 22, 1939 in Pekin he passed away March 25, 2003. She also was preceded by her parents, one daughter, Joanne Stewart and one granddaughter. Mary is survived by one son, Terry (Donna) Vogel of Tremont; one daughter, Marilyn Rakestraw of North Pekin; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She had been a secretary for Cilco and St. Paul United Church of Christ. Mary enjoyed puzzles, bingo and being active at the Wellness Center and TOPS.She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ where she was a charter member of the JOY Circle. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 10, 2015 at St. Paul United Church of Christ with visitation from 9:30 am - 11:00 am prior to service.Rev.
