Mary Jeanne Ritchey

Mary Jeanne Ritchey, 94, of Olathe, KS passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Assisted Lifestyles. Mary Jeanne was born on August 24, 1918 in Pekin, IL to James and Justina (Velde) Ross. She married Robert C. Ritchey on September 25, 1940 in Peoria, IL. He passed away on April 16, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ross R. Ritchey. Mary Jeanne is survived by 2 sons, Craig A. (Marge) Ritchey of Crystal Lake, IL and Charles Bart (Karen) Ritchey of Gardner, KS; daughter-in-law, Linda Wright; 2 grandchildren, Leanna Greer and Barry Ritchey and 2 great grandchildren. She graduated with her Bachelor's Degree from Bradley University. She was very involved with the Pi Beta Phi Sorority and neighborhood/community events as she was the ultimate social butterfly. Mary Jeanne thoroughly enjoyed playing Bridge, card games, board games, gardening and loved cooking. Private graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. There will be no visitation. Henderson Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
