Mary Louise Onken

Mary Louise Onken, 90, of Manito, IL passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Pekin Manor. Mary was the daughter of Carrie Francis Buttell and Jasper Bradley of Mason City, IL. She was born in Mason City on June 23, 1922. She married Edwin S. Onken of Easton, IL on August 11, 1945. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2004. She is survived by three sons, Tom of Pella, IA, David (Nancy) Onken of Pekin, IL and Bob (Dianne) Onken of Edwardsville, IL as well as three grandchildren, Scott (Elizabeth) Onken of Edwardsville, IL, Heidi (Josh) Penny of Folsom, CA and Hollie Onken of Pekin; and two great grandchildren, Karmen and Karsen both of Pekin. Mary loved to cook, bake and play bingo. During her life she dearly loved her three Boston terrier's, Tiny, Bingo and Buddy. The family moved from Easton, IL to Manito, IL during the summer of 1960. She and her husband lived the rest of their life in Manito. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito with Rev. Tom Guengerich officiating.
