Mary E. Jennings

Mary E. Jennings, 88, of Morton, IL formerly of Peoria passed away at 1:45 AM Monday, January 14, 2019 at Aperion Care Morton Villa. Mary was born on August 13, 1930 in Peoria, IL to Clarence and Margaret (Mitchell) Barnett. She married Edward Jennings on June 1, 1963 in Peoria. He passed away on May 1, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are: her sister, Patricia Barnett of Morton; sister-in-law, Jeanette Schlobohm of Pekin; one niece, Debra (Dale) McKenny of Pekin; two nephews, Kevin Schlobohm of Pekin and Melvin (Agnes) Schlobohm of Las Vegas, NV. Mary was a member of St. Marks Catholic Church in Peoria. She loved to sing and dance. A mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM Monday, January 21, 2019 at St. Marks Catholic Church with Monsignor Brian K. Brownsey as celebrant. Visitation will be a half hour before the mass at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in West Peoria. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Marks Catholic Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
