Mary Gasper

Mary Gasper, 96, of Pekin, IL passed away at 4:23 PM Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Hallmark House Nursing Center. Mary was born on March 28, 1921 in South Pekin, IL to Louis and Francis (Mangiameli) Maneno. She married Albert H. Gasper on February 8, 1942 in Pekin. He passed away on January 23, 2014. They were blessed with 71 years of marriage. Also preceding in death are her parents, son-n-law, Jerry Antonini, four brothers and one sister. Surviving are: one son, Dominick (Pamela) Gasper of Pekin; one daughter, Sharon Antonini of Pekin; two grandchildren, Dr. Jerry Antonini and Jennifer Antonini both of Bloomington, IL; and several nieces and nephews. Mary was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ. She worked in the cafeteria at Edison Junior High School and Pekin Community High School. She also worked in the snack bar at Pekin Hospital. Mary's life centered around her family especially her grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Glendale Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dr. Brian Bryne officiating. Cremation has been accorded. Henderson Funeral Home Crematory has been entrusted with the arrangements.
