Mary L. Dustin

Mary L. Dustin, 96, of Pekin, IL passed away at 1:32 PM Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at her home. Mary was born on April 13, 1921 in Galesburg, IL to Arthur and Emma (Nelson) Lewis. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Rosemary Dustin, one son, Richard E. Dustin, two brothers, Donald and Frederick Lewis. Surviving are: one son, James (Kay Deushane) Dustin of Pekin, one granddaughter, Gina Anske of Pekin and several great grandchildren.Also surviving is one daughter, Donna Dustin, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren all of London, England. At age 52 Mary graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelor's degree. She worked for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services for twenty-five years. She retired in 2001 at the age of 79 as the executive secretary for the Director of Children and Family Services. Mary was a member of the Berea Baptist Church in Bartonville. She loved playing the piano at area nursing homes. There will be no services. Cremation will be accorded with inurnment at Linwood Cemetery in Galesburg at a later date.
