Mary E. Brandt

Mary Elizabeth (Denny) Brandt passed unto the arms of her Lord and back with her Beloved Clifford Harry Brandt on January 12, 2022, at the age of 93 years and 262 days. She was born April 25th, 1928, in rural Armington, IL to Sam and Nettie (Azbill) Denny. She married her beloved Clifford Harry Brandt in Bloomington, IL. on Dec. 24, 1946. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2005. She was also preceded in death by two sons Randal L. and Clifford W. in 2019 and by eight brothers and three sisters. She is survived by two sons, Roger D. Brandt of Pekin, IL. And Robert A. (Cindi) Brandt of Lexington, IL.; One brother Gene (Donna) Denny of Bloomington, IL. She proudly loved her eight grandchildren, seventeen Great Grandchildren and four Great-great grandchildren, she will miss them dearly as they will miss her gentle smile and her giant heart and her World Famous Chocolate chip cookies. She was a member of the 1st Christian Church and a life Member of the AMVETS Post #235 in Pekin, IL. She retired from The American Distillery in 1979 and worked in Marketing for a while for Burke Marketing and Murphy Mart. She also ran her kids Street Treat Ice cream carts until the company sold out. She was a great boss. She was a huge fan of Bingo and established the Boys Club Bingo and help run their Bingo for over 30 years, only stopping due to mobility issues. A celebration of Life will be at the American Legion at 718 Court Street on April 23, 2022. Inurnment in Glendale Memorial Gardens for her and Clifford will be at a later date. No flowers please, donations will be accepted for Randys Childrens school expenses.
