Mary E. Beck, 91, of Pekin, IL entered into eternal glory Sunday, August 30, 2026 at The Lodge in Manito, IL.

Mary was born on January 2, 1935 in Pekin to Walter and Louise (Hildebrandt) Liescheidt. She married Kenneth Beck on January 15, 1955 who predeceased her on April 23, 2020. Also preceding in death are daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Beck, brother, Wayne Liescheidt, two sisters, Doris Barnes and Millie Vetter.

Surviving are: two sons, Steve Beck of Acton, Ontario and Rev. Gary (Valerie) Beck of Flint Michigan; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Kelly) Robinson, Sarah Beck, Melanie (Joel) Walter, David (Julia) Beck, Leah (Alex) Hoffmeyer and Leanna Potocnik; eighteen great grandchildren, sister-in-law Bonnie Beck and Marilyn Liescheidt.

Mary worked for many years at Reulings Store in downtown Pekin. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Bethlehem Society and founding member of Couples Fellowship Club at the church. She enjoyed camping, square dancing and bowling.

She and her family are grateful for the loving care she received at Charter in Pekin as well as The Lodge at Manito and the many visits from Pastor Bishop. She enjoyed visits from her friends and relatives. Special thanks to her niece, Nancy Drockelman, who extensive love and care were priceless.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 5th at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Daniel Bishop officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM – 10:45 AM at the church. Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. John’s Lutheran Church or donor’s favorite Charity.
