Marlene K. Voss

Marlene K. Voss, 73, of Pekin passed away at 12:00 PM Friday, September 28, 2012 in the emergency room at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, IL. Marlene was born on April 6, 1939 in Canton, IL to Frank and Dorothy (Bath) Wheeler. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Richard Marshall and one sister, Debra Downing. Surviving is: two sons, Scott Voss of Creve Coeur, IL and Curt Voss of Pekin, IL; two daughters, Cathie Oseland of East Peoria, IL and Tracy (Bob) Wiebler of LeClaire, IA; three grandchildren, Amber Vaughn, Courtney Oseland and Caitlyn Oseland; one great granddaughter, Dahlia Stortzum; two brothers, Larry (Rose) Marshall of East Greenwich, RI and Duane Wheeler of Bartonville, IL; two sisters, Donna Tupper of Lakeside, CA and Linda Christian of Bartonville, IL Marlene was a member of the First Christian Church in Pekin. She retired from McGladrey and Pullen of Peoria in 2004. Marlene was a loving and devoted mother and looked forward to spending time with her family and friends.She enjoyed puzzles, computer games, cooking, reading and decorating cakes. She was an avid Cubs and Bears Fan.Her favorite times were holidays and family get togethers. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin with Rev. Michael Roberts officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery near Mapleton, IL.
