Marlene Lucy

Marlene L. Lucy, 80, of Pekin, IL passed away at 8:55 PM Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Unity Point Health - Pekin. Marlene was born on October 17, 1937 in Pekin to Lawrence and Erma (Severt) Fulk. She married Leonard Eugene 'Gene' Lucy on January 26, 1958 in Pekin. He passed away on September 3, 1977. Also preceding in death are her parents and two brothers, LeRoy 'Lee' Fulk and Glenn Fulk. Surviving are: three daughters, Keeley (Dave) Hoover of Trivoli, IL, Kelley (Jack) Sandall of Pekin and Kerry Lucy of Pekin; six grandchildren, Jesse Hoover, Jarrod (Lisa) Hoover, Jedd Hoover, Wesley Sandall, Denny Sandall and Kimberlee (Justin) Springer; five great grandchildren, Tristen Sandall, Hoyt Springer, Ruby Marlene Springer, Kypp Springer and Corbin Hoover; three grand pets, Sophie, JoJo and Daisy Mae. Marlene worked in accounts payable at Caterpillar, Inc. for twenty years retiring on January 1, 2003. Marlene was a member of First Baptist Church of Pekin. She was a former member of the Peoria Evening Garden Club and Red Hats. She enjoyed gardening, movies, boating, camping and taking bus trips. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:30 AM Monday, January 29, 2018 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr., Pekin with Rev. Heather Robinson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
