Marilyn A. Ryan

Marilyn A. Ryan, 89, of Pekin, IL passed away at 9:58 PM Sunday, October 6, 2013 in the emergency room at Pekin Hospital. Marilyn was born on July 22, 1924 in Peoria, IL to Amos and Katherine (Yantis) Smythe. She married Charles Ryan on December 27, 1941 in Bettendorf, Iowa. He died February 24, 2004. Also preceding in death are her parents and one sister, Betty Block. Surviving is: one daughter, Judy Ryan of Pekin; five grandchildren, Michael, Bradley (Penny) and Jason (Manuella) Bakker, Kathryn (Corey) Bakker, and Kimberly (Tim) Pfohl; five great grandchildren, Amber, Jacob, Mark, Dakota and Chris; two great great grandchildren, Anthony and Aria. Marilyn was an artist at heart especially oil painting. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Driven Church 1209 N. Parkway, Pekin, IL with Rev. Dave Carrington officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Thursday at the church.Cremation has been accorded with burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
