Marie E. O'Neal, 71, of Pekin, IL passed away at 3:15 PM Monday, September 2, 2013 in the emergency room at Graham Hospital in Canton, IL. Marie was born on March 4, 1942 in Peoria, IL to Joseph H. and Marion L. (Stieren) Weitekamp. Her parents preceded her in death. Surviving is: two sons, Steven J. (Valerie) O'Neal of Waterbury, CT and Patrick C. (Eliscia) O'Neal of West Columbia, TX; two granddaughters, Sabrina and Everleigh O'Neal; three brothers, Joseph P. (Carol) Weitekamp of Peoria, IL, John W. (Frances) Weitekamp of Springfield, IL and Mark (Deborah) Weitekamp of Pekin, IL; four sisters, Sue Ellen Weitekamp of Springfield, IL, Christine (Daniel) Shipman of Pekin, IL, Katherine Kelly of East Dubuque, ILand Margaret Weitekamp of Pekin, IL. Marie worked as a consultant for the American Camping Association and volunteered for the American Red Cross. Marie was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pekin. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin with Rev. Michael Andrejek officiating. Cremation has been accorded.
