Marian M. Kesselmayer

Marian M. Kesselmayer, 79, of Pekin passed away at 11:30 AM Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at her home. Marian was born on March 8, 1932 in Altamont, Illinois to Arthur and Cordula (Neuendorf) Brauer. She married Rev. Darwood Kesselmayer on June 18, 1955 in Altamont, IL. Surviving is: her husband, Rev. Darwood of Pekin; three sons, Michael (Cheryl) Kesselmayer of Warrenville, IL, Steven (Faye) Kesselmayer and David (Jennifer)Kesselmayer both of Pekin; three daughters, Kathryn (Dan) Heisel of Pekin, Kaye Shepherd of El Paso, IL and Karyn (Frank) McChrystal of Stuart, FL; fourteen grandchildren, Ashley Shepherd, Dan Kesselmayer, Megan McChrystal, Janyce Kesselmayer, Jenna Heisel, Nick Kesselmayer, Frank McChrystal, Katie Shepherd, Alissa Heisel, Emilie Kesselmayer, Leah Kesselmayer, Dylan Kesselmayer, Noah Kesselmayer and Garret Kesselmayer; two great grandchildren, Alanna and Rylee Shepherd; one brother, Kenneth (Charlotte) Brauer. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother. Marian was a Registered Nurse for Washoe Medical Center in Reno, NV and worked at Pekin Hosptial from 1974 -1990. Her life's dedication was to her Lord and her family.Marian was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Pekin and the Bethlehem Society. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. She enjoyed playing Uno with her family; jig saw puzzles, sewing and quilting. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, June 27, 2011 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Pekin. The Rev. Mark A. Miller and Rev. Glenn R.A. Niemann will officiate. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM Sunday, June 26 at Henderson Funeral Home and from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM Monday at the church.
