Margaret L. Loberg

Margaret L. Loberg, 87, of Pekin, IL passed away at 12:50 PM on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Unity Point Health Methodist in Peoria, IL. Margaret was born on March 9, 1935 in Sterling, KS to Ansel W. and Melvina A. (Savage) Wampler. She married Cecil A. Loberg on July 3, 1969 in Pekin. He passed away on November 27, 1993. Also preceding in death are her parents; one grandson Jeremy Loberg, and one step daughter, Marsha Williams. Surviving are: one son, Walter (Patricia) Loberg of Pekin; one daughter, Robin Sweeny of Park Forest, IL; one step daughter, Patricia Williams of Tacoma, WA; and one granddaughter, Katherine (Christopher) Curtis; two step grandchildren, Nicole (John) Glover and Noelle (Joe) Appleton; two great-grandchildren, Jenavieve Curtis and Tallulah Curtis; three step great-grandchildren, Duncan Glover, Rowan Glover and Cade Appleton. Margaret had worked as a telephone operator in Colorado and at American Savings & Loan. She and her husband had owned Cecil and Margarets craft store on Court St. for many years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1967 where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Renovation Committee and the Altar Guild. She was a former member Sweet Adeline. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Simeon D. Raddatz officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior from 9:00 10:00 AM also at the church. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
