Marcella E. Zimmerman

Marcella E. Zimmerman, 95, of Pekin, IL, formerly of Manito, IL passed away at 12:20 Pm Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Pekin Hospital. Marcella was born on February 26, 1918 in Peoria, IL to John W. and Anna Katherine (Hoffman) Costello. She married Robert L. Zimmerman on April 17, 1948 in Peoria, IL. He passed away on October 17, 2011. Also preceding in death are her parents and four brothers. Surviving is: two sons, James N. Zimmerman of Peoria, IL and Robert L. (Pamela) Zimmerman of Parker, CO; three grandchildren, Joy, Laura and David Zimmerman; one sister, Edith Fortner of Peoria, IL. Marcella and her husband, Bob owned and operated a grocery store and apartments in Manito. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and arts and crafts. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin with Rev. Tom Guengerich officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions may be made to Midwest Central High School.
