Mabel Kathryn Muller

Mabel Kathryn Muller, 93, of rural Pekin passed away at 10:00 pm Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at her home. Mabel was born March 13, 1916 in rural Manito, IL to George R. and Lena R. (Fisher) Hilst. She married Merle Bale in 1934. She then married Harley Rowell in 1973. She later married Howard Muller on June 18, 1988. Surviving are: her daughter, Judy Nack of Pekin; daughter-in-law Violet Bale of Pekin; two step sons, Donald (Janet) Rowell of Roscoe, IL and Sheldon (Barb) Muller of Hardy, AR; one step daughter, Beverly (Jerry) Frank of Eureka, IL; two sisters, Pearl Kelley of Pekin and Helen (Art) Eden of Florida; five grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, her sons, Ronald and Robert Bale, daughter-in-law, Peggy Bale, seven sisters and ten brothers. She retired from Pekin Hospital in 1983 where she was the supervisor of Central Supply. She bowled in the hospital bowling league for many years. She attended Zion Evangelical United Methodist Church in Groveland.
