Lyman C. Miller Jr.

Lyman C. Miller Jr., 88, of Pekin, IL passed away at 6:56 AM Saturday, September 18, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Lyman was born on March 31, 1933 in Pekin to Lyman C. and Roxie (Bundy) Miller Sr. He married Susan Yavorshak on November 22, 1958 in Pekin. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Alaina Miller and daughter-in-law, Lori Miller. Surviving is: his wife, Susan of Pekin; three sons, Darren Miller and Eric (Gina) Miller both of Pekin and Gregory Miller of Casper, WY; two daughters, Cynthia (Jeff) Hornecker of Pekin and Christina (Robert) Figueroa of Waukesha, WI; five grandchildren, Dennis Watson, Amanda Miller, McKayla Figueroa, Kellen Figueroa and Grace Miller; one great granddaughter, Cecilia Casper; one brother, Fondus Chism of Pekin; one sister, Donna Sarff of Manito, IL. Lyman was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War. He worked for United Parcel Service for 37 years retiring in 1994. He also owned and operated for many years, Millers Archery and Millers Wildlife Art Gallery both in Pekin. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, picture framing and most of spending time with family and talking with friends. A memorial service will be at 12:30 PM Friday, September 24, 2021 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM 12:30 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
