Loretta Tucker

Loretta Tucker, 88 of Pekin, IL passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026 at Pekin Manor.

She was born on January 11, 1938 in Tovey, IL to Alphonse and Denise (Noreuil) DuPage. She married William (Bill) Tucker on October 25, 1969. He passed away on June 6, 2016.

Also preceding in death are sisters and spouses, Roselyn (Dr. William) Cutter, Gloria (Dr. Robert) Wright, parents-in-law, Floyd and Thelma Tucker, cousins, Barbara and Doug Payne, nephew, Dennis Cutter.

Surviving are: one daughter, Ann-Marie (Matthew) Kirgan of Pekin; her beloved grandson, Hunter Kirgan of Pekin; two nieces, Rene’ Hamm and Camille Lohnes; many great nieces and nephews.

Loretta’s family moved to Pekin in 1942, She attended Pekin schools and graduated from Pekin High in 1956. She graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing in 1959. She worked for Dr. William Cutter from 1959 – 1975. She then worked at the Tazewell County Health Department from 1975 – 1996, retiring as Director of Nursing.

She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 29, 2026 with Father Michael Andrejek as Celebrant. Visitation will be from 9:45 AM – 10:45 AM on Friday at the church. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with Loretta’s arrangements.
