Lois E. Penninger

Lois E. Penninger, 84, of Pekin, IL passed away at 12:05 AM Friday, October 3, 2014 at Unity Point Health - Methodist in Peoria, IL. Lois was born on January 29, 1930 in Pekin, IL to Rudolph and Gertrude (Nelson) Fels. She married Bryan Penninger on November 30, 1946 in St. Charles, MO. He passed away on December 24, 1997. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Howard Fels and one sister, Verna Meyers. Surviving is: three sons, Steve (Dorie) Penninger of Dunlap, IL, David (Monica) Penninger of Bainbridge Island, WA and Greg (Sue) Penninger of Pekin, IL; three grandchildren, Shawn Penninger, Nicole Oliver and Neil Penninger; four great grandchildren, Braden Tovrea, Peyton Beres, McKenzie Penninger and Garrett Oliver; one brother, Larry Fels of Pekin, IL. Lois was a life time member of the First United Methodist Church in Pekin. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin with Rev. Judy Doyle officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Monday, Oct. 6 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
