Lois A. Deputy

Lois A. Deputy, 95, of Tucson, AZ formerly of Pekin, IL passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 in Tucson. Lois was born on April 1, 1928 in Peoria, IL to Delmar H. and Azalea M. (Willis) Hirth. She married Richard R. Deputy on October 26, 1947 in Peoria, IL. He passed away on September 25, 2005. Also preceding in death are one son-in-law, Scott Cleaver, brother, William Hirth and sister, Marlene Sanders. Surviving are: three sons, Donn R. (Kathy) Deputy of Tucson, AZ, David K. (Erin) Deputy of Pekin and James R. (Linda) Deputy of Tucson, AZ; two daughters, Judith A. Cleaver of Colleyville, TX and Debora K. (Brian) Hottman of Sugarland, TX; fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; one sister, Eleanor Smith of Moline, IL. Lois had a Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Education. She was a teacher and substitute for Pekin Public Schools District #108 for thirty-five years and ten years in Tucson as a substitute. Twenty-six years as a full-time teacher and twenty-four years as a substitute teacher. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Tucson. Cremation will be accorded in Tucson. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday June 2, 2024 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory with interment in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
