Lita A. Sanchez

Lita A. Sanchez, 58 of Pekin passed away at 4:00 am, Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at her home. She was born in St. Louis, MO to Kenneth and Carmelita (Conover) Nash on November 12, 1963. Lita was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by; her mother, Carmelita; one daughter, Amanda (Brian) Beck of Glenview, IL; one grandchild, Myles Beck; one sister, Lorretta (James) Fernandez of Pekin; one niece, Lisa Fernandez of Pekin; one nephew Joseph (Renea) Fernandez of Toledo, IL; and two great nieces, Kennedie and Serenity Fernandez. Lita was a gifted student who graduated from Cleveland High School and Lutheran School of Nursing both in St. Louis. She worked as a Registered Nurse at several places over the years, including Heart Care Midwest, Oncology Hematology, and the OSF Call Center. She enjoyed traveling and reminiscing about her trips to Hawaii and other beaches around the country. She was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, working at Busch Stadium during their World Series run in 1982. But, her greatest treasure was her family, and time spent with her daughter and grandson. Lita was a devout Christian woman. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory. A visitation will be held one hour prior, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
