Lisa J. Sharp

Lisa J. Sharp, 63, of Mackinaw, IL passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Lisa was born on July 5, 1960 in Pekin, IL to Leonard and Patricia (Cullinan) Smith. She married Richard D. Sharp on September 8, 2001 in Pekin. Preceding in death are her parents and one son, Joshua Wertz. Surviving are: her husband, Rich of Mackinaw; one son, Jake Wertz of Peoria; two daughters, Kara (Joe) Smith of Pekin and Shelby (Eric) Wagemann of Pekin; five grandchildren, Kami, Tanner, Ava, Collin and Bella; one sister, Michele (Jim) Messmer of Hayesville, NC; one niece, Sarah. Lisa a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago where she received her Masters Degree. She was an Advanced Practice Register Nurse and also a Nurse Mid Wife. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. She loved to cook and entertain family and friends. She enjoyed spending time on Heritage Lake. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 10, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Michael Andrejek as Celebrant. The Rosary will be recited at 4:15 PM Wednesday, August 9th at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory followed by visitation from 5:00 PM 7:00 PM. Additional visitation will be from 10:00 AM 11:00 AM Thursday at the church. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
