Linda G. Switzer, 69, of Pekin passed away at 11:44 PM Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the OSF Richard Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Linda was born August 3, 1948 in Lake Forest, IL to Donovan M. and Lorraine (Nestrick) Peck. She married Mark W. Switzer on September 28, 1968 in Pekin, IL. Preceding in death are her parents and one sister, Sue Goodrich. Surviving are: her husband, Mark of Pekin; two daughters, Tammy (David) Osborn of Mackinaw, IL and Carole (Scott) Harpley of Oswego, IL; five grandchildren, Andrew Osborn of Pekin, Branden Osborn of Mackinaw, Zachary, Hayden and Hannah Harpley all of Oswego, IL; two sisters, Karen (David) Gibbs of Pekin and Marsha (Dan) Van De Veer of East Peoria, IL. She retired in April of 2015 from Kone, Inc. with 28 years of service. She previously worked at the Central Illinois Health Systems agency for 10 years. She attended Eastside Bible Church in Morton. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Eastside Bible Church with Rev. Steve Weber officiating. Visitation will be from 9:45 AM -10:45 AM on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory have been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Peoria Rescue Ministries (Women's ministry program) PO Box 837, Peoria, IL 61652 or Eastside Bible Church (Missions Program) 1310 West Jefferson St., Morton, IL 61550 or to the family to help with the expenses while Linda was a patient at OSF Richard Owens Hospice Home. The family would like to thank the entire staff at OSF Richard Owens Hospice Home for the outstanding care that Linda received while a patient there.
