Linda C. Johnson

Linda Carole Johnson, 66 of Canton, passed away at 8:11 am Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Heartland Healthcare Center in Canton. Linda was born September 23, 1947 in Fayetteville, TN to Vernon and Docia (Nichols) Park.She married William E. Johnson. He passed away in 1989. Also preceding her was her parents, brother, Walter Park, and oldest daughter April Sue (Johnson) Beeney ; and one nephew, Jeramie L. Park. She is survived by her children, Chris (Lorri) Johnson of Canton, Steven M. Johnson of Pekin, Bill (Judy) Johnson of North Pekin, and Lynn (Coung) Vuong of Pontiac, close family friend she considered as a son Kenny Nelson of Glasford, eleven grandchildren, Joe,Kimberly,Tony,Ryan,Tyler,Andrew,Sarah,Jessalyn,Jaedyn,Ashley andHolland; two great grandchildren, Kyler and Kale; brothers, Gary,Brian,Keith Park, one sister Lorraine( Randy) Wright; many nieces and nephews. Linda lived in East Peoria and Pekin area most of her life.She graduated from East Peoria High School in 1965.She then attended Illinois Central College furthering her education in nursing as an LPN graduating in 1985. She was an avid Peyton Manning fan.She loved being with family and her close friend, Idelle Nelson, who passed away August 29, 2011. There will be no services.Cremation has been accorded.A Private Memorial service will be held. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory in Pekin is assisting Linda's family with arrangements.
