Linda L. Elliott

Linda L. Elliott, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister peacefully departed this life on October 6, 2025, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, Illinois. She was born on March 25, 1952, in Galesburg, Illinois, bringing joy to her family from the very start. Linda was a devoted daughter to her parents, Robert E. Smith and Betty L. Jones, both of whom preceded her in death.

Linda's life was marked by a profound love for her family, friends, and the simple pleasures of nature. She married Keith Elliott on March 23, 1974, in Pekin, Illinois, and together they created a warm and nurturing home filled with laughter and love. Linda's radiant spirit welcomed everyone, as she cherished moments spent in her backyard swinging, coffee in hand, while engaging in beautiful conversations with Keith.

A lover of gardening, Linda found solace in nurturing her flowers and attracting hummingbirds and squirrels to her yard. Her passions extended beyond the garden; she relished RV camping, finding peace during those quiet times. Winters spent in Florida provided her with opportunities for exploration and adventure, feeding her desire to travel and discover new places. Linda took great joy in cheering on her grandchildren at their various activities, celebrating their successes as if they were her own. Day trips with her sisters brought her immense happiness, reinforcing the bonds of sisterhood that brought laughter and support throughout her life.

Her personality was characterized by warmth and kindness, and she found unparalleled joy in the company of her grandchildren and beloved dogs. Linda was not only an extraordinary matriarch but also a source of inspiration for all who knew her.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Keith Elliott; her son, Chad Elliott; her daughter, Stacey (Jeff) Chapman; She also leaves behind her adoring grandchildren, Emma (David) Sego, Isaac Chapman, Abby Chapman, and Caden Elliott, as well as her great-grandchild, Braxton Sego; her siblings, sister, Terri Engel of Pekin, sister, Diane (Denny) Shults of Spring Lake, brother, David (Debbie) Smith, and Sandy (Mike) McGinnis.
