Linda Louise Abbey-Bruninga

Linda Louise Abbey-Bruninga, 62, of Pekin died at 9:43 pm on Monday, January 3, 2011 in East Peoria after losing a courageous battle with cancer. Born May 30th, 1948 in Peoria, Linda was the loving daughter of John and Mary Abbey of East Peoria.They survive.In 1994, she married Robert Bruninga in Pekin, IL.He survives. Also surviving are five sisters; Mary (Chuck) Sieg of Lewistown, Cora Glick of Peoria, Joan (Ed) Tucker of Lebanon, TN; Jackie (Kevin)Veatch, Jean (Dan)Zucksworth both of Peoria.Although Linda did not have children of her own, she took great joy in spoiling her 14 nephews and nieces. Linda was preceeded in death by her grandparents and 2 brother-in-law, Keith Glick and Donald Frisbee. A graduate of East Peoria High School, Linda worked at Methodist Medical Center for 20 years in the housekeeping department.Though small in stature, Linda had a huge and generous heart, a great love for her family and a strong faith in her God.Her family is greatly comforted in knowing she is at peach in Heaven with the Lord.She was of the Catholic faith.
