Lewis L. 'Lou' McDonald, 83, of Groveland, IL passed away at 10:48 PM Monday, August 1, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Lou was born on February 25, 1933 in Sigel, IL to Harry Charles and Golda (Hummel) McDonald. He married Stephanie Arnaudoff on November 15, 1959 in Speedway, IN. Preceding in death are his parents and one brother. Surviving are: his wife, Stephanie of Groveland; one son, Buzz (Stacy) McDonald of East Peoria, IL; one daughter, Jana Lou McDonald of Morton, IL; two grandsons, Brandon (Melissa) Howdyshell and Casey Burns; two great grandchildren, Gwen and Gavin Howdyshell. Lou was a self-employed stock broker for over 40 years for several investment companies last working for Gunn Allen retiring in 2009. He also was taught investment classes at ICC. Lou was a Korean War veteran of the United States Army. He was a former member of Advent Lutheran Church in Morton. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, reading, woodworking, boating and attending the Indianapolis 500. His passion was following anything pertaining to the stock market. He was a former member of the Ivy Club and supporter of the Youth Farm. Private memorial services with military honors will be held at a later date.
